I've been into photography since I was about 7 or 8 when I got a Kodak Instamatic for my birthday. Things took off when I was about 13 when my mother, also a keen photographer, helped me convert one of the rooms in the house into a dark room. For years, while at school, I wondered around with a camera, nipping back to the house to quickly develop my negatives and print them for friends. I used to buy film in 30m rolls and got through an amazing amount in those days. Around the same time I bought my first Canon, a beautiful A1. During the next few decades I moved from the A1 to a T90 then into the EOS world with a 1n and 1nRS and finally into digital, first a 20D later a 5D and now a 1Ds Mk3.

Lens-wise I've got a pretty nice selection of L-series zooms lenses and number of primes taking me from 16 to 300mm at f2.8 or better with all the usual extras.

The photographs here are uploaded at a reasonable resolution but everything was shot in RAW and available at significantly higher resolution and quality. I earn my money from designing computer systems for banks so fortunately don't need to make a living from photography however I do try to finance my photographic toys by selling my photos.
